Small Business Name and Location: Penny Bridge in Brooklyn Heights

  1. When I think about Penny Bridge I hear…

Men talking and laughing outside while smoking a cigarette. The man behind the counter talking to and joking with the customers. I hear friends walking around trying to decide what to buy. I hear customers ordering sandwiches.

  1. When I think about Penny Bridge I smell…

I smell the meat and other ingredients behind the sandwich counter. I smell the lovely not at all gross New York air. I don’t smell much else.

  1. When I think about Penny Bridge I see…

I see hard workers that are friends. I see a small shop that has lots to offer even with such little space. I see workers that are friends with their regular customers. I see people that enjoy their job. I see customers that find what they’re looking for.

  1. When I think about Penny Bridge I feel…

I feel a welcoming environment and a friendly atmosphere.

  1. Penny Bridge is important to my life because…

It’s a friendly welcoming place that my friends and I can go to during the day or at night that’s right across the street. It’s great when we all need a late night snack.

  1. Without Penny Bridge it would be different…

My friends and I would have to find a new friendly business for an inexpensive late night snack.

  1. What is your hope for Penny Bridge in the future?

Since Penny Bridge is such a lovely small business with such friendly workers I’d love to see their store be able to grow and maybe move into a larger space or get more business.
